Can Jews and Nazis Get Along?

A small group of right-wing Jews attended a weekend white-supremacist conference in Virginia. But they left in a huff. Nazis had "infiltrated" the meeting.

It's easy to be a white supremacist. There are just a few simple requirements: you've got to be white, and you've got to hate pretty much everyone who isn't white -- a category that normally includes Jews. But what if you're Jewish and white and hate everybody who isn't white? Can you be a Jewish white supremacist? Apparently it's possible.

In the Jewish weekly magazine Forward on Friday, there is an article about a group of right-wing Jews who attended a recent meeting in Herndon, Virginia called the American Renaissance Conference -- which is sponsored by a far-right magazine dedicated to white racial purity and believes in black intellectual inferiority.

Their attendance didn't go over well with everyone there. The meeting was -- perhaps not so surprisingly -- "infiltrated" by neo-Nazis and Holocaust deniers. Well, the disappointed Jews can always try to join Israeli anti-Semitic groups.
