Here and there one can hear that the U.S. is emphatically insisting on introduction of sanctions against Iran reposing on its alleged intentions to get nuclear weapon into possession.
From the viewpoint of American 'experts', this is why Iran is aiming to increase the number of nuclear sites.
Still, if the number of nuclear sites really matters, than the U.S. should better attend to Ukraine's intentions to build another 11 nuclear reactors by 2030 and start up nuclear fuel production cycle. Ukraine's government links it up with the increased necessity for alternative fuels.
OK, why not indeed? I only don't get it why the same announcements made by Tehran make Washington go into hysterics? Have dual standard to do with it? I guess yes, unfortunately
Perhaps because Ukranian leaders haven't vowed to wipe Isreal and the US off the map? Just a thought.
The Ukraine's nuclear facilities are all open to inspection by the IAEA and they renounced the use and development of nuclear weapons. They haven't been developing any new nuclear weapons and got rid of all the nuclear weapons in their territory when the Soviet Union dismantled itself 1991.
What has Iran done to demonstrate that they have entirely peaceful purposes for their nuclear program?
Ukraine can demonstrate a need for energy. Iran has more oil than it knows what to do with, barring exports.
In addition to the reasons given above, Iran had been caught red handed running their enrichment program in secret instead of in the open.
That is a dead giveaway that it is an illegal weapons program, and not related to energy production.
