Stumped by this Riddle

Reply Wed 22 Feb, 2006 01:47 pm
"As old as time, as new as the dawn,"
"As dark as the mood of a new demon-spawn."
"As green as the fields, as small as a fly,"
"I am but one thing, yet many am I."

This thing really has me stumped. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
GF

How dark is the mood of new demon spawn?

Babies are sometimes like that nick, but not always.
But their poop is sometimes green.

just using some free association here, thinking maybe something will pop up...

Thanks for the input. I have discovered that the answer is:

Locust

I thought it was the Earth.

The answer as 'Locust' does not make sense. Locusts are a lot bigger than flys, they are actually more brown than green......

As well you should. Nothing worse than bastardizing a perfectly good language. You son Drew will hang his head in shame!
