I was quite surprised to see muslim men and women say (on CNNI) if they could find the cartoonist that insulted their delicate sensitivities about the prophet Muhammad, they would kill him. Does anyone else find this a bit oxymoronic or is it just me?
It seems Europe has allowed a vast influx of muslim immigrants into their countries over the last few decades to exploit the economic benefit of cheap labor. But at what ultimate cost?
Will our basic freedoms be beaten into submission by the infuence of Islam? It seems there is no call to reason for the "faithful" of Islam. When do we resist the mob mentality? Is this goodbye freedom, hello Old Europe?
in the US this has already taken place, to the extent that civil liberties have been compromised in the name of security.

I fear you are taking too much notice of media.I have met dozens of people who I suppose might be Muslims from their appearence and accents and they have all been quite integrated into our society.
Obviously, such people do not attract the interest of media. If a few attention seeking hotheads go on a march all the cameras will be there and it is easy to get a quite distorted picture which is wound up by media so that it can provide itself with dramatic broadcast material.
The biggest demo I've seen was said to be 50,000 strong which leaves a great number of non-participating members of ethnic minorities to account for.Possibly 2,450,000 who quietly get on with their lives in the general English way known as "muddling through".
I feel quite confident that these people will be a benefit to our society as,indeed, they already are.
