Actually, in the initial post as to whether the tower exists at all.....
If the EF where to instantaneously disappear, an observer would be unaware of the fact during the time it took the light to travel from the EF to our eyes.
So, the EF could have ceased to exist just a nanosecond ago.....let me go check.......nope, still there........well, NOW maybe a nanosecond ago.......better go check.......no......well.....
Francis, can you please go keep an eye on the EF today? Check on it every few nanoseconds or so?

Okay, I am currently in my lab working on the proof that photons have a reptilian brain.
Or they used to. Or they will one day, in some era. And one of these lifetimes, I'll show you!
Now if I could just stop time from jumping around how it do on these long weekends.
Other ways of "knowing": I do not know everything about my wife, e.g., her psychological dynamics at a very complete and sophisticated level, but she rarely does, or reacts to, anything in a way that suprises me.
And, of course, I "know" her; we are married.
