When you come across a new member of whom you know little, does his/her choice of avatar have any effect as to how you relate to that person? Are there any members whom you avoid, because there is something in his/her avatar that you find aversive?
Why did you pick YOUR avatar? Is it the one that you always have used, or do you change it frequently? Does it have any special meaning for you?
So many questions, so little time...
I have stayed with the one avatar so far, although I have at times considered changing models. At this juncture in time, there is no particular avatar which makes me avoid a member...maybe somewhere down the road that'll change.
I selected my current image because he is somewhat of a detective looking chap and this is a knowledge finding site...so the two seemed to go hand in hand. That and the fact that an image of the real me would leave people gazing in awe and wonder, which in the long run would be bad for A2K since no posts would ever be made as people looked upon my image all day (no ego problem here, eh?). The current avatar dissolves that worry.
