In Britain it is now official, in the US it is being studied until the world population is gone.

Stark warning over climate change.

Rising concentrations of greenhouse gases may have more serious impacts than previously believed, a major scientific report has said.

The report, published by the UK government, says there is only a small chance of greenhouse gas emissions being kept below "dangerous" levels.

It fears the Greenland ice sheet is likely to melt, leading sea levels to rise by seven metres over 1,000 years.

In thirty years we'll have the technology to get some of the water off the planet if we need to.

gunga - the water on earth is basically a closed system - you don't prolly want to tinker with the balance of the stuff.....

Recently, NASA's chief climate specialist, Dr. James Hansen, has spoken out not only on his thoughts on global warming (they're dire), but also on the fact that the admin tried to stop him from speaking on the subject.
