Does anyone see the possibility of civil war between Hamas and Fatah with the US funneling money into Fatah? Unfortunately we've been down this road too many times before.

Bush has already stated that he not give monetary aid to the Palestinians as long as they do not disavow their aim of destroying Israel. I believe the EU took the same stand.
As to the US funneling monetary aid to Fatah. Never happen, If they give aid it will only be to the legitimate government.
I'm not so sure, au. We've been all too happy to stick our financial noses into other people's civil wars (under the table, of course).
In other news, a Hamas official accidentally blew himself up today when he grabbed the wrong belt while getting dressed for work.
Contrary to conventional wisdom, Hamas gaining power in Palestine is a positive development of Israel.
Authority may transform Hamas - Israel wins.
Hamas continues its terrorist ways - Israel wins
The first statement needs no explanation. As for the second, it needs to be realized that the military power of Israel exceeds that of Palestine by an astronomical factor. If Hamas is the ruling power in Palestine and countenances terrorist attacks on Israel, a state of war will exist. In such a war, the outcome is given.
