I picked cherries, it fits pretty well, which is weird because Bella said the same thing and I wouldn't have thought we were anything alike! Laughing

And what the heck is a custard apple?

Just for you, cypher-, I found this link:
About custard apples!
What are Custard Apples?

Custard Apples are a sub-tropical deciduous tree belonging to the Annonaceae family. This family contains over 2000 members spread throughout the world. Of this family, it is the atemeoya, a hybrid of the Annona genus, that Australia's commercial cultivars derive from...

p.s. I didn't know what the heck they were either!

Oh we get custard apples here in India.. I dont like them at all - they're weird. But some people here like them and I think the custard apple milk shake is quite popular here...

Thanks, sakhi. That's really interesting. Do you import them? What do they taste like? Can you compare it to anything American?

it grows here in India. I havent tasted the milk shake or the juice. It doesnt taste like any other fruit i know. The raw fruit is kinda granular - not to look at, i'm talking about its taste. When you bite into it, you can feel the sweet particles in your mouth)...I cant really think of anything american or any other fruit that it's similar to.

I guess I'll just have to try it some time!
Have you ever heard of "ice cream bean"? It only grows in the country of Panama that I know. The inner part that you eat has the consistency of cotton candy and tastes like vanilla ice cream!

I never bother about those sort of things.I can eat nearly anything. It is just a trick anyway to get the poor some cheap food. The poor here eat whatever has gone past it's date at very cheap prices now that the posh have not bought enough. You should see what goes on the relief convoys.

I know, spendius - I'm part of that (relief convoys), except
that we're carting food (among other items) down to Mexico.

That's not my intent, spendius. I firmly believe, one needs to help the less fortunate people, that's all.
