Thrilled to see the sun after 5 days of boisterous rainstorms.

Very jealous of all the rain Clary has been getting as we're facing the worst drought in history.

Zero is what it seems the rainfall in much of Oz this year, I heard a report on the World Service which was very sad - so much of the wheat crop lost, for example.

Absolutely right Clary, farmers are desperate, committing suicide at the rate of 1 every 4 days according to the Daily Papers.

Dear, dear, maybe it's the lack of Brits because a) it's half term and b) it's the first nonrainy day for a week (very sorry, Dutchy and the farmers)

Equally distressed about the poor farmers - I heard that on the news yesterday. Very disturbing. It's been 6 years, hasn't it, since this drought has gone on?

It never ceases to amaze me as to the lack of desalination plants in places like the UK and Australia.

Just think about the class of politicians we are blessed with, all they can think off is spending mega bucks in Iraq on a non-winnable war, and neglecting their domestic priorities in the process.

Man I know has got the Krispy Kreme franchise for Britain. I've only had one, saved for me by a kind son, but it was 3 days old... seriously underwhelming!

Note for your fridge -

Remember as this doughnut
Passes through your lips.
Tis but a moment in your mouth
And forever on your hips!

Pretty good to hear that, because the hips problem referred to above would loom.
