Lovely naval rhyme, down to basics. Apparently Omar Khayyam's 'thou' was a gentleman friend, so the navy also leave the gender an open question; wine, women and song is too specific.

Very nice to hear of springtime coming into summer Down Under, but noticing nights drawing in here, no bobby dazzlers in sight.

Amazing, isn't it? How the four of us seem to be working in four different languages. To me, a 'bobby dazzler' is when something is super spectacular.

But that's what I thought it was, hence my ref to no bobby dazzlers on the weather front - Dutchy was expecting one in southern Oz; however by now the weather has changed so I am expecting one for tomorrow - oh today, it's 1 15 a m

Cool and cloudy today where I am, although they are predicting more heat-wave conditions coming through. With it being Grand Final weekend for both the Rugby League and the Australian Football, for a lot of Aussies this is going to be a hugh 'party' weekend - be it a heat-wave or typhoon!!
Yes, a bobby dazzler.
