Non-Muslims claim that Quran is not the words of the God.
They have knowledge that before 1400 years man had not knowledge of science as he has today but what Holy Quran said 1400 years before, science is discovering that today. Is this not a proof that Holy Quran is the words of God.
For some instances read the following links.

No it's not proof. Now prepare to be mauled.

What of us 'non-muslims' that feel 'god' has no words whatsoever due to nonexistence?

No I will not chase your links because you are either too lazy or not fluent enough in english to form a cogent argument on your own.
Lets start with some evidence of fufilled predictions in the koran, as they relate to science.
Put up or..well you know the rest.

I cannot for the life of me imagine why you would think such a thing would happen
here.
Male, i can think of few things so feeble in the way of "proof" as is entailed in coming to a web bulletin board with a post from a different web bulletin board . . . he said/she said . . .
yawn. Gee, one religions bullshit is more accurate than another religions bullshit. Go figger
But, in the link I looked at, even the info given by the pro Islam commentary inaccurately reflects the scientific information it is commenting upon.
Proof indeed!
Such nonsense.
hey , dont yell at me, I didnt write it.
A text can only be the "word of God" if the reader sees and feels it that way.
I will not say my beliefs on the issue in order to stay safe from stereotypes and attackures (don't think thats a word, but oh well) and other such stuff. But, I believe that if a person is deeply, deeply affected by something, such as a text, person, or place, so much to the point of changing his or her life around that experience, then yes, the person would truly believe that that text, person, or place was "from God".
Everything is a matter of opinion and until four apocalyptic horsemen ride forth or the earth is destroyed by a giant meteor or the world is swallowed bya giant turtle or whatever may be your beliefs, then nothing will be proven.
Period.
And if male ever comes back to this board or thread, his response will be, "made you look!"

We shall discuss that in a sapare thread. I am talking about the truths of Holy Quran as described in those links.
If any one thinks that the Holy Quran is not words of God and of some human, then try to make a single verse like 6666 verses in that. It has been challenged in Quran that no one will ever be able to do that.
THIS is your notion of "proof"?
well i'm convinced dlowan, surprised you're not
off to mosque tomorrow
damn sunday
well 6 days to wait
let you know how I get on
Quote:Now coming to the original question, why is a man allowed to have more than one wife?
2. The Qur'an is the only religious scripture in the world that says,"marry only one".
In earlier times, Christian men were permitted as many wives as they wished, since the Bible puts no restriction on the number of wives. It was only a few centuries ago that the Church restricted the number of wives to one.
This is a quote from the link posted by male. I suspect he either missed the satire or is playing it with a straight face.
Whoa...hmm...wonder what he's gonna say to that...

That is the most favorite method of non-Muslims to present a text with out context. If have read the article in full, this quotation has been explained in detail. Perhaps you just stopped here and copy some of that topic to mis-represent that.
I dont think Muslims do satire Acquiunk.
Unlike Gilbert and George

I'm not certain if it was Gilbert and George or Miss Widdcombe who was being satiric.
