I notice since reyn retired he doesn't spend as much time being swell for us on a2k. I bet his wife keeps him busy with a long honey do list.

Ha! I've been missing this thread. Just now noticed it again.

Actually, you're wrong on all counts.

Vivienne's great putting up with my schlepping around the house. I have to ask her what she want's done next, or what can I help with. After all, it's her retirement, too, right?

I've been trying to pull my weight around the home now, and trying to find a new routine to get in the groove of. I'm very much a creature of habit. I need a routine, or I feel somewhat lost.

I've not been around so much, because I've started playing chess on my #1 site again. I was away from there for 4 months. I wanted a break from it, but I really miss some of the folks there. So, I'm back. I've been a long-time subscriber /participant there since 2000. Actually, I'm currently playing a game there with 'Yitwail'. He's probably going to whoop my butt.

Are my 15 seconds of fame up already? Laughing

reyn is my brother in the a2k world. I'd like to call him Beave, but he won't let me.

Yes, indeed. Too bad you don't play chess.

Reyn, it would be mighty nifty if you could come back & talk to us again! Especially to edgar ... he obviously misses you.

I'm hopping from here to my chess site, to the "Want Ads", to doing stuff around the home, worrying about "The Court Case" (those in the know, know), and back to here.

So, don't worry, I'm not gone.

hehe, I thought it was fairly common knowledge by now and you were doing a "Dys" on me. Laughing

Say a "Hail Mary" and you'll be fine.

A true poet you are, Edgar! The sentiment is heart-warming! Laughing

Do what you want to do with your time, reyn. We will understand if you love chess and need to be there. Craven is too selfish to turn a2k into a game room, so we will in the meantime have to make do with arguing with each other.

Actually, what I've been doing is having two windows open.

One, with my chess site, and the second, with A2K open. So, I can hop from one to the other. It's not like I'm really "gone".

I don't play "live chess", but rather a form of graphical correspondence style chess that is turn-based. In other words, each side takes turns going to the site and making one's moves. The game typically takes a few weeks to complete, depending on quickly each side moves.

I've got several of these types of games going at the same time.

You'll still see me every day, so don't worry.

I learned the basic chess moves when very young, but quickly discovered, I don't have a head for strategy. That is why I only play my 8 year old grandson.

Oh, I'm sorry. I try to stay away from horses. I use to hate it when I had to read meters near where they were on rural property.
