Hope you didn't infer a picture from the title.
Our little river is trying to freeze. Till late afternoon, there are these great chunks of ice come roaring down the Animas. They come to a riffle or the diversion dam, just disappear, and somehow, imperceptively, they reform themselves - seemly from nothing. Downstream, the seem bent on destroying themselves again, this time against a standing wave. Hey, they just flow over them, sort of like soft leather. It's slush. We've got shlushburgs.
Sounds sort of pretty....
And not to worry. Albuquerque has a different climate, mostly.
Are you at higher elevation?
Oops! Missed a post.
We're a scosh over 5,000', but the river comes from much higher elevation, and doesn't have to go a long ways to get here.
You're also farther north..... nice imagery, Roger. Glad to see you made it, Osso.
