Four days? FOUR FRIGGING DAYS? Jeez...if I set out and drove due south for four days (Mediterranean and North Sea notwithstanding, I would probably be in Timbuktu! BLOODY AFRICA!
Gawd, Osso....you don't do things by half, do you.
<notes: hmmm, this place called the USA seems pretty big. Bigger than England AND Scotland put together, methinks.>
Umm. Ellpus is trying to bait someone into saying it's bigger than Canada, too. Ain't gonna fall for it.
meLord, hast thou ever been to Rhode Island?
So, are we all moving in with dys and Diane?
I'll see you in a week.
<I don't know why he's laughing>
I'm hitching up the wagon as we speak.
you got 40 acres to go with that mule?
Good luck on your move, osso.
Myself, I wouldn't feel comfortable unless I was at least a thousand miles away from dys, but I guess you have to do what you have to do.
<horror>
You mean.....I'm not invited?
<crest falls>
A sad day.
I shall write poetry for the rest of the day, featuring deeply depressed images.
I guess I can unhitch my Cock-a-poo.
You can move into my shack, lash.
<gus shuffles off to dust the possums>

Shewolf, I made it from the San Francisco Bay area to Albuquerque in two days. First day, drove as far as Las Vegas. Got to ABQ about 8 pm and stayed with Asherman and Natalie on the East side of the Rio Grande river. Drove like a bat out of hell to beat the moving van's arrival. With two van drivers, they drive non-stop. I arrived one day before the van, which gave me to measure and tag where all the furniture was to go in my new home on the West side of the river.
Sadly, I didn't have time to stop for a view of the Grand Canyon, which I had never visited.
Flying to Albuquerque means missing the real Land of Enchantment. Driving over the border between Arizona and New Mexico is breathtaking. The hills Georgia O'Keeffe painted are on the left side of the highway; casinos are on the right for a few miles. The hills are gorgeous. Osso will be taking pictures like mad.

dys steals another woman from under me.
Good luck with the move Osso! It all sounds very exciting. Moving sucks, but here's to the hope that it will all be worth it.
Gus--
I'm sure you can move in with us. Just bring some swampy artifacts to decorate with.
