Protect their natural habitat from destruction so we can save the gorillas as well as many other species as possible. Plus the saved rain forest could help deter global warming just a little longer.

I believe an earthquake is far more easier to survive then a tsunami by basically remaining outside and away from tall buildings until the earthquake's over. Either way, I have not experienced either event to give an educated answer to this question.
