Buy plane tickets months in advance. Why risk not getting a seat as the flight's all booked up and don't the airlines charge an insane markup for last minute ticket buyers?!

You will find yourself in a path of a category 3 or 4 hurricane: Do you go to the grocery store before the storm arrives then stockpile on food and water and other essentials (playing cards, batteries, etc...) or pshaw at the fear and the hype and when the winds are blowing at its strongest grab your surf board and ride the waves and the surf?
