Sometimes but not in this case.

1) I've never heard of the Blue Rinse Brigade, and I'd be willing to bet that most other Americans haven't either. We sometimes say "blue-haired ladies" or "blue-haired old ladies," but that's it.

2) In this game, the new entry is not required to, and rarely does, relate to the previous entry. Therefore, when you wrote "Lipstick or rinse," I didn't connect it to your choice of blue in the previous entry. If you wanted to draw a comparison between the blue rinse worn by the Blue Rinse Brigade and the blue lipstick worn by ravers, you should have given a choice between blue rinse and blue lipstick.

Being casual.
