Bird watching is a tad too slow for my lack of patience though I do admire them when they cross my path. JoeNation follows the birds at http://falcons.55water.com/. That's too out of the way. I prefer the big birds who live by Washington Square park, http://urbanhawks.blogs.com/urban_hawks/washington-sq-red-tailed-hawks/. That said, I prefer people watching. You can do it on the move while walking the sidewalks of NYC.
