has upgraded his computer, has he any tips for me - a Mac person - should I wait for a machine that can do everything, tv, compute, phone etcetc?
Unfortunately I know nothing about Mac's, use a very basic Celeron computer and have added little gadgets over the years. Speak and view with my relatives both here and overseas and burn the odd bit of music. I find that "SKYPE", a free telephone service, works perfectly in harmony with my Logitech webcam.
Has a webcam!! I find Skype doesn't work well wiwth my Logitech mike but not sure if it's me, the computer, or the mike. My sons say I sound as though I'm down a well. Perhaps I am.
I have a very fast broadband which is ideal for Skype, however I have found it is not very good with the dial up systems, which some of my friends have.
Has a broadband system like mine; however, my so-called braodband is admitted even by the phone co. to be slower than that in the cities...us country folk don't need speed apparently.
