Right now, I am called a "newbie". What are the various levels and how many posts do I need to be in certain ones?

carterreese, I believe that you'll become an enthusiast-in-training at 50 and a near-enthusiast at 100. I'm not sure about the rest of the numbers.

This is off the toppa my head, so it might not be exactly right, but I think it goes something like:

Just Hatched: 0-9 posts
Newbie: 10-49 posts
Enthusiast in Training: 50-99 posts
Near-Enthusiast 100-249 posts
Enthusiast 250-499: posts
Seasoned Member: 500-9,999 posts
Veteran Member: 10,000 posts and up

As I said, I could be wrong - haven't really looked into it for a good long while. I'm sure if I am wrong, somebody will be along fairly soon to correct me; catching timbergoofs is a popular sport hereabouts Laughing

There are a few "Special Designations" too, which aren't necessarilly related to post count. No point getting into those, since they're pretty rare and generally self-explanatory.

still, I think it's important to point out that reaching various "levels" isn't as important as contributing positively to the discussions. That's why I really dislike when people put little one word posts, or say stuff like "ditto" because that is not a contribution. That's just an opinion though. I've been a member since last April, and I only have a hundred some odd posts. But I think thats because I don't post unless I feel engaged with the topic, and I try to avoid repeating stuff that has already been said. Also, I just don't have the time to sit in front of the computer all day. But anyway, I'm beginning to ramble. Welcome to A2K!
