the reaons aristotle gives for thinking life of contemplation is a good one is it right?
Aristotle right? uh well I suppose in a political sense he was right.
I think it was Socrates who emphasized that we live a life of contemplation really. That we should question the why's and what's of life. That is all fine, the only problem I have with him is that he enforced that that is how it should be. That enforcement is wrong because we all have the right to live a life examined or not. I think those who see a lot of emotional pain in their life are given to examining life in detail and those that are not are not. Both are justified!
I suppose Socrates was a literary device of Plato. We shall never know.
