While having a discussion with an agnostic friend, he brought up the point that if Jesus is the only way to heaven, what about people who haven't heard of him? This got me thinking about a theory I've been working on. I think it makes more sense because God is not a legalist.
Someone once said "behind every lie is some truth", so does it really matter what religion you ally yourself to? As long as it sticks to the basic rule of "love your neighbor...." (golden rule) and recognize that God is in charge, and not us....
Your thoughts?
In Hindi GOD stnds for Generator, Operator and Director.Because of the golden rule of Phi 1 to 1.618 all manesfestations of devine site brought on by a time place and moment usually in nature one comes in contact with the same vibration that the universe would call the force of life.
John 5:28,29 provides hope for those who never knew God:
"Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment."
Surrounding material makes it clear that judgement is based on deeds after resurrection and learning the truth.
That doesn't relieve us from obligation to God.
Christianity has no lock on the Golden Rule.
SHARED BELIEF IN THE "GOLDEN RULE"
The answer to your question, Thunder, depends entirely on who among the self-proclaimed clergy you talk to.
Quote:Christianity has no lock on the Golden Rule.
I don't think that anyone ever said this.
The golden rule is explicite to all cultures and races regardless oftheir religion. The power of a 1to 1.618 structure also overwhelms subtlely.
Isn't that the divine proportion? Do you know anything about it?
Heres a good place to get acquainted with it.
