Hey! Hello everybody! I'll go to Brisbane next year to study at the university of Queensland. Anyone here from Brisbane?! I hope to make friends with you and we can meet each other next year. Is it ok? Nice to hear from you!
Regards,
Tammy

there are people your age who are studying at Queensland universities who will welcome you.
use the "introduction" thread to say G'day and dont forget to tell em Dadpad sent you.
Gee thanks for going to all that trouble dadpad.
no probs tammy glad to be of assistance and nice of you to say thanks by the way.
Dadpad--
I think you're both useful and decorative as well as being good company.
Hold your dominion.
I'm in brisvegas
also an international student (from Scotland) but not studying at UQ
hey
i've been pretending to be busy this week, pretending to work on assignments... actually that's not true - it did do 3 of them so it wasn't all pretend!!! hehehe
so how you finding UQ.... that campus is too big for me! it's the same size as my home town in scotland!!
although I live in brisbane, and am studying here this year, I'm actually off to Bond Uni next year, down on the Gold Coast. there's A LOT of international students at Bond, infact probably more internationals than domestics!
hope you're working hard, and playing harder!

I'm the only international student on my whole course at the minute... thankfully it will be different next year when I get to Uni!
Yes studying in a different language is hard, so just make sure that you get out and about and get lots of practise. I used to practice my french by watching french films!
So what are you studying?
I'm doing a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Bachlor of Arts (majors in French/ International Relations). Since my course is two degrees it will take me longer than you. The course is 10 semesters, so at UQ that would be 5 years. Because Bond Uni has 3 semesters a year I complete it in 3 years and 4 months.
