Hey, Oz!
Aren't we playing you guys at rugby today?
The pic was taken in the gardens of the palace at Fontainebleau- the one-time summer palace of the Bourbon dynasty, and nowadays playground of the rich and famous.
Fiona has got your number, Prince. I don't have a mobile phone but I'll write it into my book.
I should be back in Mumbai, very scruffy and dirty, by the 14th December. I speak only for myself, of course.
Vinsan, haven't heard from you for a while? How are things?
I think I should be beack then, too - though not at all scruffy and dirty as South India is a clean place and all the hotels however small have running water... I have a feeling we leave at 2 in the morning of the 15th so it'll be good to have something to do in the evening leading up to it.
Perhaps the Prince would vouchsafe me the pleasure of his mobile number in a p m??

I am fine. A2K was redirecting to some other servers meanwhile.. so couldn't catch up with u guys....
what the news? ready for the big travel? R u guys spending 2 days in mumbai (on 15-16 Dec)? I can invite you guys home for Dinner or so! Wht Say?
Okay plans are now firming up.
Thank you, Vinsan, for your kind offer.
I think the 2 days (20, 21 November) when we arrive will probably be taken up with getting accommodation sorted and finding our feet.
Clary and I are staying at separate places in the city, with friends (I think, not sure yet).
We fly to Bangalore on 22 Nov, and onwards from there on a magical mystery tour, taking in some of Kerala.
We fly back out from Mumbai in early hours of 15th December, but I will probably be in Mumbai a couple of days before that. I would suggest that might be the best time to meet. I have your phone number, Vinsan, and I will let you know where I am, when I get there.
We should at least meet somewhere central for a drink on 14th December evening (be there or be square, Gautam), whereupon Clary and I will go straight to the airport for the early flight.
I am staying very close to the airport - so maybe it is a good idea to meet up in my hotel for the drink after which you guys can go back to COLD england !
Jolly good idea; it's what I'd call a late flight, really. We should be at the airport at midnight. For McTag this may be early....
Hey Mc,
2 days (20, 21 November) you would be meeting me or not? Do we have mumbai tour then or you want the tour on 15th December?
Coz I already told u guys that weekdays for me are difficult to adjust. 20th Sunday would be best if we are to spend the day touring....
Coz again 15Dec Thursday or any other day in its vicinity would again be a weekday that would be difficult for a mumbai tour.
But then on 15th Dec, I can meet u guys up for an hour or so though
Please consider this.
Vinsan
A family friend from India will be contacting me on Wednesday (probably...), and then my programme will be clearer.
Please bear with me for a while yet.
I would like to meet you on Sunday, if I can.
G, what is the name of your hotel for the 14th Dec?
And will they accept sunburnt scruffy Scotsmen?
mctag, clary, but also vinsan or SuperG: here's a website of videoblogs about all sorts of festivals and happenings in india done by a friend of a friend:
http://csfvlog.blogspot.com/ the first one - about the ghanesha festival features my friend rohit. most v-logs are 3 to 7 minutes long, some are very interesting, check'em out!
Super blogsite, Dagmar, your friend's friend is very talented.
Interesting videos, I've seen several of them now.
Thank you.
McTag, hotel not booked as yet, but it is most probably going to be the Mariott or the Hyatt near the airport.
