3 guys, 5 dollars, and a hotel room

3 guys each have 5 dollars. They go into a hotel room and consequently 1 room costs 15 dollars. They pool in all their money and buy 1 room. The lady at the desk felt sorry for them, because it was the only money they had. So, she decides to give them a discount and knock off 5 dollars. Finally, she gives the 5 dollars to the bellboy to give back to the three guys. The 3 guys were so happy that they decided to give the bellboy a 2 dollar tip, and split up the rest of the money. So, the bellboy got 2 dollars, while each of the guys get 1 dollar - it adds up to 5 dollars.

Essentially each guy paid 4 dollars (they all paid 5 dollars, then got 1 back from the bellboy). Now, 4 dollars multiplied by 3(number of guys) is 12 dollars, and add that to the 2 dollars the bellboy has, thats 14 dollars

What happened to the other dollar?
