Most excellent.
The CD closes with a simple salute to the songwriter. "Lightfoot" is sung by Aengus Finnan, a young singer who represents the new generation of Canadian songwriters who regard Gordon Lightfoot as an artist who broke boundaries by writing songs that were uniquely Canadian, and that remain influential, and enormously popular, today.
Gotta get it. My fave Lightfoot interpreter is Tony Rice. See if you can find Rice sings Lightfoot. I think it's on Rounder. Oh joy.
Last cd I bought...you'll laugh...Cracker Barrel restaurants sell a great americana series of CD's. in their foyer. I found 'J.D. Crowe And The New South" one of the most important bluegrass albums of the last 50 years. With Skaggs, Tony Rice and of course ...the greatest banjo picker ever: J D Crowe.
