hi everyone,
i'm now in ireland but emigrating to adelaide in 2 week's with my wife{27+24}.it would be brilliant to get a bit of help on a few topic's.
is glenelg worth the money to rent or are henley and west beach good substitutes.were looking for a lively place on the coast with good public transport.
is there much work for electrician's and administration.
any help on anything would be brilliant
Personally, I would much prefer Henley Beach out of those three.
It has a great community atmosphere, is lively and fun, but far less commercial (and attracts less hoons) than Glenelg.
Having said that, we were down at Glenelg a few months ago and the atmosphere was fun.
West Beach I know little of, but I always think of it as dull.
There is a bit of a building boom, and tradespeople are in short supply. I would guess this means there is plenty of work for electricians, but I could not say for sure.
I do not know about admin folk.
I hope you will be happy here.
good on ya,every little bit is a help
A couple of sites for work but you probably know these anyway:

Yep Henley Beach is good. Nice community with good facilities. Probably easier for public transport than West Beach. West Beach is the sort of suburb you need a car to get into and out (and around) whereas Henley Beach is right on the bus route from the city along Henley Beach Road to Harvey's Henley Hotel (and old watering hole of mine) and not far from the Grange Hotel (an old watering hole of Ronnie Biggs - and me - but not at the same time of course). Henley Beach is also walkable, things are in closer proximity than at West Beach.
