A bear starts at it's den and walks 1 mile south, 1 mile east, and 1 mile north. What color is the bear?
Does it make it back to its den in this riddle? Is "den" the operative word?

Oh, I saw that it goes back to it's den so yes it's white.
And they're not white. Seriously! Their hairs are hollow and transparent, and they look white on a background of snow.
They look yellowish to me - as though they smoke.
is it true that cover their wittle black noses wiv their whiteish paws when waiting at seal breathing holes, oh Soze of the north?
