Charli? I shall have to look her up, as I don't think I've ever seen her around. It could be, as Osso mentioned that she writes about Mexico and that is what possibly interested this mystery lady.

Basically Dag, she was just rattling off some names and incidental bits and pieces, but Charlie (Charli) was mentioned in amongst the American people.

Thanks for the cookies, Ms East...one of those looked awfully familiar.

Maybe it's a bit different over here, ebeth, we have bloody great supermarket style shops that sell all electrical goods. So, my remote had stopped working about a week ago, and I got fed up with having to get up to switch channels.
Over here, we have "universal" ones that can be programmed to function on any type of TV. I don't normally queue (a bit like Spendius) but the thought of another week of getting out of my couch seemed to win me over to the idea.

Charli doesn't post that often but when she does she is usually helping someone with information, as here -

Charli makes sense!

And yes, spendius, I was thinking Aidan too, though I have the impression she's younger (not positive).

An extract from Hansard-

Quote:
"She knew, or thought, that either Steve, Spendius or myself were from the civilised end of England"

I refer anyone daft enough to believe that to Ms India Knight's Sunday Times News Review front page article BAD GIRL (Sept 25).

I live in the civilised part of England and the nearest Curry's is miles away.In fact I had to ask someone what Curry's was.

I believe you, Lord E. This is even more strange than your vacation diary and if you'd made it up, you would surely have added sexual references. <right?>

So, I think it is extremely cool if a little weirder than normal. I predict this may become one of the major stories in the a2k stranger-than-fiction lore.

It could only happen to you LordE.

I am a bit disheartened to hear that:
A. You turned red
B. You spent time in a queue - don't you have "a man" for that?
C. You haven't told us WORD FOR WORD who she talked about and what exactly she said about each ... we need details man! I love hearing this stuff. A real life person yapping about what she thinks of us! Brilliant!
D. You are not georgous. I expect you be a dashingly handsome devil. DO NOT burst my bubble!

Myself? I would probably pass out in shock if someone guessed who I was in real life. I did have a co-worker ask me if I was Heeven in another site I used to post at. He learned rather a bit too much about me and I was shocked he knew it was me! I was too gobsmacked to deny it.
