Thanks for checking in, everyone. Glad that most here seem to have dodged anything too serious.

Take care.

But wait, momma angel is in louisiana, and I think to the south.
I hope she is well.

I don't know much about Mama Angel, but hope she is well, also.

Thanks, bear.
Piffka - One thing I have learned: Never try to influence a decision my daughter or son-in-law makes. They have it set in stone by the time it leaks out. I tried to tell them not a good idea to name one son Austin, when they already have a son, Dustin. No avail. They have a daughter named Joey. Chloe is their final decision on the name.

Austin, Dustin, Chloe and Joey? Those are great names, all of 'em, but the kids may get a little trouble in school. This reminds me of the song "My Name is Sue... How do you do?"

Nice to be able to joke a little and not worry about flooding, high winds, etc.

I hope your new granddaughter is born quickly and safely and will soon be in your arms.

You ought to see them individually. They are intelligent and awesome. Put them together and, well . . . Is Super Nanny anywhere about?

Edgar--

I've got six stepsons--all sure they've been cheated in the distribution of life's goodies.

Fortunately they are all grown, launched and definitely part-time people.

Joey was called a genius by her doctor, because of her advanced vocabulary. Dustin is in an honors class. Austin is into Power Rangers, Nascars and the like.

How is it that everybody has such wonderfully talented children and all you ever meet in the adult world are complete d*ckheads?

Another thing-if you have honors (sic) classes,Power Rangers and Nascars somebody has to be in them just like if you have a president somebody has to do it.From what I've read on the threads the president doesn't seem to impress many Americans so why not put the chief of the Power Rangers in charge.

Edgar--

Children with healthy egos compete for attention just as much as the kids with needy souls do.

I believe Momma Angel is in north Louisiana. I'm sure she got more rain than she wanted out of this hurricane, but not the worst of the wind.
