Not all adults are as you describe them, spendius. You really should get out of the house more.

Noddy
Their egos are kingsize, just like their parents and grandparents.

Mac, Ossobuco
Good to know.

Ed.-

You have it upside down.I go out too much.I should stay in more and look at myself in the mirror and then I would realise how wonderful we all are as you seem to think. There were about 40 d***heads in the pub tonight which is better than Fri and Sat due to it being the sabbath today.I should imagine most of them had been bounced on their grandad's knee at some point as he convinced himself how superior his DNA is to that of all the other grandads.

We all run into the sort of people you describe, and I myself sometimes wonder what happened to the good people. But, I ultimately run into people who make life worth living.

Thanks, colorbook. The folks across the street have their electric back, so, now, I can enjoy it without feeling guilty. (Today the temp was 99).

I hate the summer heat just about as much as I hate snow. But I would be happy with 99 degrees as long as I still had a home to go to after Rita passed by Smile

Wonderful to know. So far, everybody I personally know or know of made out very well.

That's good news for the south. It was thought for a time the storm would sit just to our north and recirculate the rain, flooding many of us out.

It rained where I was up north earlier today.
A Rita storm streamer.

It just started here.

Expecting heavy rains tonight...some remnants of Rita merged with the usual predictable September rain.
