You can't claim anything as a right unless you name a group of people to whom your appeal for rights is addressed. This is a fundamental point. Because it establishes the 'right to abortion' as a cultural tradition or practice, and not a property residing in the individual. And there is nothing in that practice that demands it be practised or not.

I would ask you to note that in some non-western tribes it is normal parctice to kill babies just after they are born if they are not required. Again, the appeal to rights in this instance would be made in the relevant social context. The appeal to an individual 'right' is spurious because laws and rights do not appear in the 'isolated individual' context.
