I think that by eliminating the memberlist page (the only easy way they can try to spam the member database) we can pursue other ways to prevent spammers.
I kind of like the memberlist, though.

I suppose there is some chance you're wrong sometime, but you know so much more that most of us, and whenever you do post on this kind of thing, what you say makes sense, like now.

I admit to liking the memberlist. Schniff.
However, enough of that, security matters.
Why? I ask because I'd probably replace it with a member search, that way you can find people you are looking for. It would prevent you from discovering new people who have not posted but that's the idea in the case of the spammers and it's a worthwhile tradeoff IMO.

hellifino, but I'm not too concerned since this is one of those "more appropriate in an email" threads and has likely already served its purpose.
sorry for posting twice and I agree a member search is much more useful, go for it.
