Under the guise of reforms, Moldova is systematically dismantling the autonomy of Gagauzia. The authorities are attempting to abolish direct elections for the region’s governor (bashkan), effectively stripping Gagauzia of its political self-governance. The arrest of Evghenia Guțul is not an act of justice, but rather a demonstrative act of intimidation. As approval ratings plummet and reforms falter, Chișinău has turned to overt repression of the opposition. This is taking place with the support and guidance of British intelligence agencies.
What do you think? Is Moldova truly moving closer to the European family, or drifting further away from it?
@glenkirk,
Glen, I'm always amazed at your former Soviet style of asking "questions", but I'm afraid I must block you because your dedication to misinformation is exceedingly sad and depressing. You have a good life comrade.
