Skip the introduction and see the full episode. The woman in this one is played by Odetta, best known as a folk singer.

There's a BBC comedy drama called Trust Me starring Alfred Molina.

He is a complete bullshit merchant whose lies get him embroiled with a couple of hit men.

It's very funny.

@edgarblythe,
I enjoyed watching that episode. I was pleasantly surprised at her acting. Who knew?!

She was great in "Sanctuary," a film loosely based on Faulkner's novel.

Star Trek: Discovery (TV Series 2017–2024)

I am (strongly) recommending seasons 1 through 4

Season 1 through 4 are all great to watch and I strongly recommend those seasons.

Season 4 ended with in a way that (felt like a series finale) and that would have been a perfect ending for the tv series.

But, they did make a season 5, which was the final season.

Being a big fan for the first 4 seasons made me want to watch season 5

Season 5 did not impress me.

Resident Alien (current)

An alien arrives near a small town in Colorado to destroy all human life on Earth. Unfortunately for him, things temporarily go wrong, and his plans are delayed. To escape detection he assumes the shape of a man he killed.

The first two seasons are really good, but the third season gets ridiculous with an overly complicated plot.

The series is reminiscent of a 50s science fiction series called My Favorite Martian, but is much better.

@coluber2001,
I stopped watching it after seeing 1.5 seasons. Just got too far out there.

Lucky Hank (2023) A chairman of the English Department at a small college in Pennsylvania struggles amid budget cuts.

It's only eight episodes long, but it's worth while watching. Free on Medhut.

The End of the F***ing World

James, a teenager, steals his dad's car and runs off with Alyssa on an impromptu escapade.

James, believing he is a psychopath, plans on killing Alyssa with a knife that he carries. Things don't always turn out the way as planned, though.

James is deadpan without a lot of emotion, and he's reminiscent of Harold in the movie Harold and Maude. He's very skinny, and hIs face kept reminding me of somebody I couldn't quite place, and then it hit me. He looks like a ventriloquist's dummy, but not in a bad way or funny way, and he becomes a sympathetic character. You really want him to have some peace and success for some reason, and you end up rooting for him.

It's in two seasons and a total of 16 episodes available on Netflix or for free on Medhut.
