for 41A. I have- Aloha (hawaiian greeting)
for 38D. I have- Brace (pair = brace)
second-rate= B, contest= race
for 40A. I have- Radiology
(an x-ray will give you the 'inside picture')
For 29D. I have- Warmonger ( sabre-rattler= warmonger)
combat=war, the letters of the word 'gone' form part of the answer,
a thousand = M in roman numerals, Right= R

That's what I have.....and the answer to that one is driving me bonkers too.......*L*

Let's disect the clues and see what we get.

After combat a thousand have gone right off sabre-rattler.

After combat....( Which makes me think WAR could be the 1st 3 letters.
a thousand.....( maybe a ton? )
Have gone right off sabre-rattler.....( now if ya look up sabre-rattler on the 'net ya get a lot of pages about fencing....so maybe the whole answer has got somethign to do with a swords)

So I get WARTON ?E?.....which makes no sense to me......*L*

Hi Dutchie, I'm doing this from memory. I think your answer to 100 etc is warlord. I have sent all my stuff off because I had to go into hospital, and all the drugs have left me in a bit of a fog. Hope this helps. Good luck

sounds 'more disgusting' = grosser (sounds like)

47A. 'spell' = 'hex'

representative of justice = the 'Blind Lady Of Justice' holds a sword in one hand and a 'balance' or 'scales' in the other.
(I hope this is correct!)

50D. I have 'just' = 'barely'
