The Bible talks about two resurrections:
1) the resurrection of the saved
2) resurrection of the damned
I believe that the resurrection of the saved takes place at the moment of the rapture of the church. In fact, the Bible confirms that those who are raised from the grave in the first resurrection are blessed. It goes on to say that the rest of the dead did not live or rise from the grave until the end of the Earthly 1,000-year reign of Christ.
The second resurrection takes place after the 1,000-year reign of Christ on Earth. Those who are raised (God has power to raise the dead regardless of length of time in the grave) will be brought to life solely to face the GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGEMENT.
One thing I do not understand about funerals is the crying part.
The Bible confirms that God does not lie. So, if God does not lie, then what He taught about the future resurrections MUST BE TRUE, right?
We will rise from our Earthly graves through the AMAZING power of God.
Do people actually believe this biblical fact? The Bible teaches that those who are in their graves are "sleeping." You see, God has COMPLETE control over the grave and death. So, the word RESURRECTION is good news.
Of course, you would want to take part in the first resurrection and avoid the second resurrection. Now, what is your view? I want to read what others think about both resurrections.
Where do these words appear in your bible?
Rapture?
Resurrection of the saved?
Resurrection of the damned?
You've been having your ears tickled by some preacher needing a meal ticket.
