I must have taken the wrong test, too. I scored "Active Spiritual Seeker". Still, it was an interesting experience: made me think about these issues in a way I haven't in a long time...

Littlek, when I took it a few months ago, I came out 100% pagan. The questions are too limiting to really provide an accurate answer.

correction from 1st poster
Hi, I'm the almighty posting posterizer of this posting. I've come to the conclusion that the writer of this test was either a Mormon, or didn't know what the hell he was talking about. For the record, I disagree with the Mormon Church 100%, although we all have our opinions and the right to them. Not that it matters but I did want to correct a teensy-weensy error I made in expressing my opinion in the first post when I said that the Catholic Church was the only true Christian Church. I teach ancient history and that, by default, includes a lot of Christian history. I meant that historically the Catholic Church was the real founding institution of the western world and that historically as well that made it the "true" church because it was here for centuries before the others and dominated the world, and still does, making the Pope, today, the most influential religious world leader and is today the only religious leader with his own country, and the Catholic Church is probably the largest land owner in the world. So there! Dov

On the other test...

Old-fashioned Seeker -- Happy with my religion but searching for the right expression of it

Pretty much sums it up.

on the wrong test, i scored 44:

Active Spiritual Seeker - Spiritual but turned off by organized religion

it's a higher score than i would have predicted, but maybe that's because the questions weren't nuanced enough.

Yeah - and guess what relegion I was of course brought up in.

Lilltek - You get the score of 100% of neo pagan by answering all the questions having to do with nature with the idea that God is expressing his divinity through nature.
I don't even know what Jainism is - I suspect it's close no paganism - I'll have to look it up.

actually - I smiled as I read the list, but after thinking about it, realized it actually is pretty aligned with my principles and belief system.

Really odd is that I came out as 100% Reform Judaism. Not so surprising is that I came out as 97% Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestant as this is where I view myself. I also was brought up Roman Catholic and my results show me at 52% (or in 14th place) - makes sense. Rounding my top 5 - 3. Liberal Quakers, 4. Orthodox Judaism (wonder why Judaism keeps coming up); 5. Orthodox Quaker. Didn't realize my faith is so closely linked to Quakers also. I will have to look up some info on the Quakers.

I also can see how my husband and I can disagree on certain items (like homosexuality). He, I would imagine, would rate 100% Mainline to Conservative Christian/Protestant, where it came it at 60% for me. He takes the Bible very literally, while I look into the deeper meaning and also take into consideration the fact that we are reading it in English and the translation may not be correct. I try to read up on several different points of view of the interpretation of the Bible and don't rely strictly on the St. James version verbatim.

I guess I am not at all like Tom Cruise (thankfully) as this was next to last at 31%. Last place was Nontheist.
