missing image in post

Up to a couple of weeks ago I was able to insert into a post a link to a pdf page stored in my google drive, and in the post the image of the pdf page was displayed, together with the link.
Now this does not work any longer. The link is there all right, but no image is displayed. Did something change, that I am not aware of?
