I'm a Jackass

The Rolling Stones are playing at Fenway park this Sunday.

I'm on the internet a while ago, decide to go to boston.com to read up on the Red Sox getting their asses handed to them last night. See this huge bulletin: "Extra Stones tickets being released on ticketmaster at noon." It was only a few minutes after noon, so I jump right over to ticketmaster.

Try to get two tickets. Nope. See if I can get one. Yup. Now, I'm not figuring I'm actually going to attend the show. Usually with these big name acts, like U2, Stones...you can resell the tickets for much higher than face value.

So I grab my one ticket, at a measly $200. Ugh.

Check Craigslist, AFTER paying for it.

Ummmm, yea....looks like it's a "buyer's market" for Rolling Stones tickets.

Looks like I'll most likely be going to a concert El Solo. Unless I want to lose money on the ticket. But who knows.

I'm a dumbass.

I've done that a few times before. I actually thought I was going to do it as a side business--buying tickets, selling them on e-bay for a nice profit--but yeah, you have to pick the right band, show, or event, or you're stuck. Or you have to have really good seats.

Jackass.

$200 was a cheaper ticket. There are tickets over $400 face value.

I think for whatever reason they're expensive because it's at Fenway Park, where the Red Sox play. They've only had a couple concerts there before.

I want my money back now...I just hired a mover for the end of the month...getting ready to let the expenses start flying.

I'm a jackass...jackasses.

ticket master in albq used to let people return tickets if it was within a 24 hr period.

maybe there is a loop hole like that you can use
for your benefit

I am currently trying to get my little hands on McCartney tickets. But how successful that will be, who knows. Ticketmaster is telling me there aren't any available. *sigh* Whatever.

Tori Amos is a female musician/pianist. Like Sarah McLachlan. I'm officially the only straight male who is a Tori Amos fan.

The crowd at these shows is quite amusing.

How do the Stones keep a straight face?

They haven't had a number 1 record since 1981, and they're charging $200?

The new album supposedly gets back to their "roots."

Um, when you wear Panda skin robes and snort gold dust and charge 200 bucks for a ticket, yer a little bit removed from your roots, and you're not "rock n' roll," not even if you're the Stones.

Do they still do Street Fighting Man? "But what can a POOR boy do?"

I don't think Tori is a Lilith Fair performer. But there are plenty of ugly-ass women that go to her shows, whatever their sexual orientation may be.

I've never seen Sarah in concert, I got her cd's too, but like Tori better though.

Uh, I mean, I'm a MAN! HELL YEA! I like to burp and watch football! Dumb bitches, fetch me beer, and make it swift!
