Thank you so much for your kind response, Montana. I appreciate it very much. Very Happy

Yup, it's been a pretty hideous time & I'm still getting over it. I have never been exactly "close" to my mother or sister, but this last episode makes it even harder to simply get along with them. I'm so sick & tired of being called on after each new mess & I have no doubt there are more (quite serious) messes to come. I'm just going to have to (try to) say that there's nothing much more I can do to help. I wish I could say "So could you now please leave me out of your lives altogether...?" but .....

So how are you, possum? What's new? Are you working, or about to work again soon? I do hope so!

How does your garden grow?

And how's Uncle Fester? He's leaving you in peace now?

I've never had family issues such as yours, so I can only imagine how heart breaking it must be.
I'm going to have to quote Noddy by saying "Hold your dominion"!
I think you're doing the best thing and only thing for yourself, by distancing yourself from the situation. I can only imagine how frustrating this must be for you.

(((((((More Hugs))))))))

As for me, I'm working on a new business venture. It's actually something I've thought about doing for several years now, but wasn't able to before because of various reasons.
I'm keeping quiet about my venture for the moment, but I will share my secret with you all as soon as I get it off the ground.

My garden is done for the year as fall has taken over. I planted a ton of tulips I got for a decent price, so that'll be something new and beautiful to look forard too next Spring. I planted 12 large pots with 12 different kinds of tulips.
It's always got to be overkill with me Laughing

Uncle Fester still festers, but I've got future tree planting plans, which will take care of that.

Aunt Fester came to the door the other night because she saw me in the window painting and she just had to know what I was doing.
It makes my blood boil, but I just keep on smiling and pretend that I don't want to scream "It's none of your @#$%^& business"!!!!! Laughing

I laugh because it's better than crying Laughing

Some people, eh! Confused

Thank you for the good advice & support, Montana. Much appreciated! Very Happy

I am just dying to know about your new project, but will remain mum until you're ready to reveal all!

You are going to have an exquisite garden this spring! You'll have to post photographs of all those tulips!

Yep, laughing beats crying, anytime. Laugh a lot, Montana! It's good for you!:

Ho Ho Ho Ho Ho Ho Ho Ho Ho Ho Ho Ho Ho Ho Ho Ho Ho Ho Ho Ho Ho Ho Ho Ho! Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Ms O, about the photos, no I did not take them. They just struck me as peaceful. Walking always forces breathing and therefor relaxes the body (how profound that sounds).

Aaaaaah, now this is mellow! Very Happy

It is raining gently & steadily outside. (Not a moment too soon! Phew!) What is it about rain that's so soothing?

Yesterday I finished a job that was thoroughly depressing me. I made it! And I no longer have to wrestle with myself each morning to make myself go! Very Happy (I'll worry about $$$ later. Not today.)

I have decided to give the family Christmas debacle a miss this year! (Mental hygene reasons! )

It is so peaceful today. All my doors & windows are open to let in the fresh air (after the sweaty scorcher yesterday!) A solitary little bird is singing her song just for me! Very Happy

FREE, FREE, FREE! Very Happy

Typed chili in the tag box-this thread appeared. Over five hundred posts, and not one bowl of chili is discussed.

Certainly not with the voting feature on this site. Mad

Not much incentive to start one's own thread when 3 minutes later, you get a zero next to it.

@Reyn,
Aw Reyn ... I know, I know ...!

One of the things I really like about this thread (though we are no longer mellow, as Francis has observed) is that there is so much of Noddy in here. Advising, smoothing fuffled feathers, just being Noddy ... very soothing, actually. Smile
