PDF from SVG

I have a number of SVG files which I want to send to a print shop. They require the data as one PDF file. How do I merge the SVG files into one PDF file?

There is one reply at https://able2know.org/topic/289545-1 which recommends using Word. I tried that, but that isn't straightforward and there are a number of problems with that:
• Word can't directly use SVG.
• Inkscape has an option to save as PNG, but these files get enormous. (150 MB each at standard resolution. Even if I reduce the resolution to a barely acceptable low value, I still get hundreds of MB for all files together.)
• Word resizes the images. I tried manually fiddling with the margins, but it still doesn't look right, and I have no way to see before printing whether it will turn out right, after all.

@Micromegas,

After saving as a png file, go to compressjpg.com and have it compress the images. The site is free and it won't keep your images.
