Page new experience and check-in

A newly created page for a restaurant is not found as a location to check in. On Facebook help is available for a classic page. In the general information for "new experience" no information is available for check-in. The method used for classic pages does not work for new experience. When you create a page now, it is always new experience.

So how to add check-in possibilities?

Yes. Location is set: address and city.

The only other thing I can think of is the restaurant isn't set up where you can check in. Might want to ask them to check their settings. Has anyone else ever checked into that location? Good luck.

I set up the restaurant page for them. It is a newly created page.

I read this:
"Below the map, click to check the box next to Customers visit my business at my street address (unchecking this box will hide your street address and check-ins)."

This is for a classical page. I do not see this setting on the new page experience.
