I've been told that Perth has some great waves...
Did I hear right, or should I kill my source.

And if I did hear right, what else does Perth offer besides great waves?

Hello, Quidne. Welcome! Very Happy

Here's hoping that some A2Ker with a more up to date knowledge of Perth arrives & answers your query. I haven't been there for quite a few years & am aware that things have changed a great deal in recent years.

I just found this nifty map of Oz which enables you to click onto the area you're interested in. (HUGE place, isn't it?) Perth can be found by clicking the SW section. Hope this is of some use! Very Happy

Never, Gus!

A delicate, sensitive mouse, I reckon!

Good morning to you, too! Very Happy

Well, I have no direct or expert info, but it does have a majo r ocean in its back yard!

Lonely Planet:

City Beaches

Perth has some of the the best city beaches in Australia, though they can get a bit unpleasant and windy in the afternoon. There are calm bay beaches on the Swan River at Crawley and Peppermint Grove, or you can try a whole string of patrolled surf beaches on the Indian Ocean coast, including Perth's very popular nude beach at Swanbourne. Scarborough is known for its beachside cafe society, and is great for experienced surfers and sailboarders. Perhaps the best beach of all is on secluded Carnac Island, frequented by the odd marooned human and some sea lions.

This appears to be some surfing type stuff:

surf info

More surfy stuff

Huge amounts of Perthy surfy stuff

Yet more surfy Perthy stuff

There - someone who really knows may come along.

OK, so it's Roger the Rat, then. Not your friendly neighborhood mouse as I'd thought. Still, as far as rats go, not a bad one!
