Plagues can come in so many forms. NY/NJ has its own current plague of spotted lanternflies, where each citizen is tasked to seek and destroy - to terminate with extreme prejudice.

I'll go first and choose a possible plague beginning with A then the next person chooses a possible plague beginning with the letter, B, and so forth.

That is not a plauge, it is just the numbers are up because the human population has migrated. Meaning somebody was probably controlling them but because of COVID and George Floyd protests they moved to another state. So logically it could have originated from a garden or the new person on the job did not get the memo.
