You don't have to see the movie to know that there are female characters in the dang film.
Just look at its IMDb page.

I did see it. The Bene Gesserits, including the mother, are major characters.
Zendaya, the potential love interest from the native Freman population is barely in Part One (but will have a much greater role in the sequel).
