I don't eat a lot of meat ...when I do I usually buy from a higher end grocery like fresh market or whole foods or even more often at our butcher. I try to buy the grass fed organic ...it costs more but eating any sort of poor quality meat really turns me off ...also I had used a wellness coach at work ..free to me...and after hearing alk the deal that goes into these lower quality ...I just cannot eat it.
So instead I just buy the best quality I can find and have less of it.
Mame (and all): Why don't you just stop eating meat instead of bitching about its price? My "veganhood" deprives me of nothing. - David Lyga
@david lyga,
Why don't you tell someone who gives a monkey's?
I once ate some grass fed beef, came from a ranch I helped out at. Yeah, I killed the animal. It wasn't that good, we who ate it kept burping after eating it. Made me wonder about the old days cowboys who ate such meat.
And about some meat sold at the stores that don't brown, I believe those meats were irradiated to stay red longer. I bought some of those before. Then there are some meats that leak out a lot of water while cooking, who knows why, maybe it was infused with water using vacuum processing.
