Actually...I don't want to go too far with this...but...
...most of the definitions I've seen for "religion" involve some sort of "belief" or "faith."
Here are some definitions picked at random:
1) The service and worship of God or the supernatural
2) Commitment or devotion to faith or observance
3) A personal set or institutionalized system of attitudes, beliefs, and practices
4) A cause, principle, or system of beliefs held to with ardor and faith
If truly there are religions that are not "faith based"...good for them.
BOTTOM LINE: It is my contention that "faith" is vastly (make that VASTLY!) over-rated as a human activity....and that, in its essence, "faith" is little more than insistance that a guess about something unknown is correct.
It is, as I mentioned, bull-headedness.
Faith is believing in God! Faith is a verb, you act on it. Faith is the hope of things that will come to pass. To have faith you must believe. It's like the way you have faith that your parents are there to protect you. Its the same way with God. Trust in Him always and faith is never giving up!

Now...do ya all see what I mean!
BULLHEADEDNESS!
Make a wild guess...and insist that it is right!
Oh...
...AND VASTLY OVER-RATE IT AS A HUMAN ACTIVITY.
Here's a link to a new thread I started. I hope everyone involved in this thread will stop by and offer an opinion.
