I was just letting you know what he was like.
There is a movement to have his statue and name removed from certain buildings.
I studied Gladstone at A level, and we weren't taught any of that, mostly it was about his abortive attempts for Irish home rule.
We did learn that he used to whip himself and was involved in getting 'fallen women ' help.
He would pick up prostitutes and talk to them, give them something to eat, but I don't think ne had sex with any of them.
